Welcome to Dining Archives! I’m Elias Samona, and my love for food began in West Bloomfield, Michigan, where I spent hours cooking alongside my Middle Eastern grandparents. Those kitchen memories inspired my passion for discovering new cuisines and hidden culinary gems.

My journey into food photography and reviews took off back in high school, where I honed my skills by capturing the beauty of each meal and the joy of the dining experience. Since 2016, my Instagram page, @dining_archives, has been my way to share these flavorful discoveries with the world.

What started as a hobby has grown into a true passion. While in medical school and aspiring to become an anesthesiologist, I’ve found so much joy in balancing my love for food with my career. Detroit’s vibrant food scene, from traditional Middle Eastern dishes to inventive fusion spots, keeps me inspired. I aim to spotlight local favorites while also sharing my discoveries while traveling.
